So Neil fired me with the very lamest explination I have ever heard. Some folks just cannot say "because that is the way I want it." I was ready to walk because of all the bullshit. Running uphill gets tiring. Meanwhile, Jon and I went out and got the VW Rabbitt deisel and brought it into town. Harry has been a pain in the ass about this, but there is much unseen going on here. The "husband" no longer sleeps with the "wife;" occasionally returning to play with his two kids. Her third is a lost child, as is Patrick, son of the step-daughter, Becky. It is a neverending soap opera around here. I am ready to find another alternative at first opportunity. Jon is giving notice at the Victorian Place building, planning to convert one large "massage parlor" (whorehouse) into two semi-large office spaces. It is do-able but involved. I am expected to work wonders for chump change because of the car. It is a whole tune of its own: needs a head gasket (at the best) or whole engine (at the worst). I need something I can afford to drive. My weekly gas bill is over $20 these days...I actually found myself thinking that $1.85 a gallon was a reasonable price! Life goes on...
