Dear Whirled, 2001 (version 8.6)

I am happy to announce that Ed is doing well in overcoming the ravages of last winter. He has taken the pledge, quit smoking and gone on a diet! He even has his vehicle near legal and is running after jobs daily. Good to hear that he survives and thrives in the Netherlands of New Jersey.

We talked for about a half-hour, covering health issues and baseball, the political morass of Shrub-ist stupid-ness, the ever-failing economy, former love interests and what they are doing now. I was told that Ned is chasing down leads at finding Buddy Burns and a couple of other souls of distinct histories. 'Pebbles' is on our mind.

Meanwhile, I scour the Internet for job leads. I certainly know how to pick'em; the last adventure was a study in social contrasts. Now the laid-back era of "dot com" entrepreneurial bliss, according to many sources, is gone and near forgotten. So many young, energetic, inexperienced, clever, (did I mention young?) programmers out there with lost stock options and very fuzzy futures. When, so recently, they had the means and the medium. They only lacked the revenue generating devise. What, oh what, could that be?

My other web log.
