The Error in Terror 3
Message from the Cosmic Electric Company

After seeing the horror that is unfolding in Congo, the dynamics of Life in the USA seem pretty nice. The terror we face pales before the power of a single volcano; but, of course, the terror could be, we are told, controlled with certain preparations. As time passes, and, hopefully, the natural evolution of events moves toward civilized settlement between belligerent interests, the nuances of ebb and flow somehow have become awash in the background study of overview efectiveness. All in all, the US is doing well in its war of revenge; albeit far from perfect. The tea-leaf readers have no clue as to what the economy is doing, do they? Dead cat bounce, lower interest rate/higher tax cut, or oil cutoff from war in the Muddle East; all balance in the ether of what could be in the very near future. The Lemming Effect is still active on a global scale. So much for the wonders of technology affecting real change between peoples. Enron only proves it CAN happen much faster than before.

What sucks is the dialogue; especially that emanating from American national government (with precious few exceptions). The genius of balance of powers never contended with all three divisions of government being equally inane. It had to happen, as certain as Nixon had to go to China. Example: During the past ten years, the Republican Party has held steadfast to two political arguments: that we cannot and should not "be in the business of nation building;" and that persons holding high office necessarily need to hold their personal business to a higher standard than an average everyday citizen. Notions that "no one is above the law" here is seen as a bit over the top, a device that is used when in a position of superiority or thinks so. This week, we see that "nation building" is our only reasonable path in Afghanistan, although it is to be shared with several other Alliance nations. The Enron situation has brought a stampede to return election funds, or donate them to righteous charities, as the Arthur Anderson scandal begins to threaten how America does business on its highest echelon. See the trend?

This lunacy may be simply stated and understood. It is acting toward the unknown or not understood with convienience and common self interest. It calls for the proverbial line being drawn in the sand: which, to his credit, The Shrub has done in no uncertain terms. But the arguement is one of morality and the practice of religeon taken to action within the only activity at hand. America clearly has the bigger stick. Coming to terms with what other meanings or understanding is involved is at the convienience of America. Any discussion of defacto American genocide against Arabs is far away, but central to the beligerance. Jihad remains the hot button term that very few non-Muslims understand. And Israel is being of no help at all, insisting on their righteous military action in civil police matters.

What is the cosmic fabric here? We denied involvement a few years ago in the terror of genocide happening in Africa. We ignore Africa, except for certain Mediterranean nations and South Africa. The sum of Western European involvement in the region over the past two decades has been symbolized by rock concerts to raise money for starving children in Biafra. That was a long time ago. There has been some developmental news that seemed to signal an enlightened means to change was at hand. Now, the US will be judged against those other nations in the confluence of the Congo tragedy. Count this a cosmic tit-for-tat. Others are in the works as America is faced with the negative effects of its past policy. The chickens have come home to roost.
